Refund Policy

This policy explains when you're eligible for a refund on a Mentient subscription. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Paddle.com, who acts as the merchant of record for all orders. Paddle handles billing, invoicing, and refund processing on our behalf in accordance with this policy.

If you're not satisfied with Mentient within the first 14 days of your first paid subscription, contact us and we'll issue a full refund — no questions asked. This guarantee applies once per customer, to your first subscription payment only.

Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or annually, depending on your selected billing cycle) unless cancelled before the renewal date. We don't provide refunds for renewal charges after the fact — please cancel before your renewal date if you don't intend to continue. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing; cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't refund the current billing period.

We don't provide prorated refunds for unused time when you cancel or downgrade mid-cycle. Your plan remains active (at its current tier) through the end of the billing period you've already paid for.

We'll consider refunds outside the standard policy in cases such as:

• A billing error on our part (e.g., duplicate charges, incorrect amount).
• Extended Service unavailability that materially prevented you from using Mentient during a billing period.
• Other circumstances we determine, at our discretion, warrant an exception.

Email support@mentient.io with your account email and the reason for your request. Since Paddle processes payments as merchant of record, approved refunds are issued by Paddle back to your original payment method, and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card provider.
